Question for fellow creators:

Has anyone else noticed how unpredictable the Shorts algorithm can be?

I recently started a faceless history/mystery channel and some videos will get 1,000+ views while others barely get shown, even when the retention and engagement are similar.

I’m currently experimenting with topics like hidden history, strange crimes, psychological phenomena, and real events that sound too crazy to be true.

I’d genuinely appreciate any feedback from creators who have experience with YouTube Shorts. What metrics do you pay the most attention to when trying to grow a channel?
