Me m19 gf f18 have a weird situation we have been on and off since sixth grade because I can push her away every time how do i be more dominant?

I have a really weird situation with my girlfriend that I don’t really know how to describe it. So we have been dating for a little bit but recently we switched to me being the top im the relationship, which seemed to make things a lot she was more talkative active and stuff better and like it better but 2 days ago she tried to insult me playfully and said she wants me to degrade her and make her act more submissive this happened over the phone and then she’s been reverting back to how she used to be after I couldn’t do it so how do I go about doing that other tips suggestions stuff I don’t really know what I’m doing I need some guidance also so sorry for any typos im dyslexic
