Why do people like qui-gon so much?

He is regarded as one of the best jedi, but he never does anything super impressive or honourable compared to what other jedi do in other movies/shows. He wasn’t strong when it comes to dueling and didnt do anything notable with the force, the only thing that comes to mind is the failed mind trick on watto. In my opinion adopting anakin to the jedi wasnt that amazing, as he had the highest midichlorian count ever recorded (or something like that) and of i remember correctly obiwan did most of the convincing to the council.

This isnt a hate post or intending to scrutinise him, but i just think that fans can sometimes rate him very highly which i dont understand. He isnt in the franchise much, and only has about 50 mins of screen time in all media.
