No one ever had a problem with a grieving mom trying to pick up her life / hobby / work.. or at least I hope so!) however EK does no do any introspection, does not once say the word ‘guilt’ with regards to the preventable drowning of her son (only says she feels guilty for being happy, she must be really happy because it is the main topic when talking about her grief) and is not in the tiniest bit more modest or less materialistic after her son drowned due to a lack of supervision. She spends her days going after people who express feeling uncomfortable about this. Also no word on the part her husband played in it, in fact business as usual after he did not watch his child next to an open death trap and then lied about it to the police, multiple times. What is the difference between letting your son - who can’t even swim btw - play unsupervised next to a pool and putting a loaded gun in reach? Also, don’t give me the ‘what you see on her platform it is only one minute a day’, as it is only what makes the cut after hours of filming and it is what she chooses to share with the world thinking this is the appropriate content to share after her son drowned in such a horrific way that the police officers stated it was utterly traumatizing content. As she puts in her bio she is sharing her life and she said she is authentic. So as an influencer this is what you want to send into the world? Ok then, go on and try to convince the world filming content weeks after the loss of your son to keep the money and attention machine going when the charges against your husband are dropped is a normal reaction to all of it and pretend that health professionals encourage going back to a platform / sector that contributed to your decision to prioritize aesthetics over safety. Because this is her go to to justify her behavior - ‘my grief therapist says I deserve to be this happy without any guilt attached to it’. As if they are going to recommend an actual heartbroken grieving mother being exposed to millions of eyes after a few months and combine showing your grief journey with product placement and brand deals.
