What are some tips I need to know before hopping in?

Hey folks! I was wondering, what are some things I need to be wary about when joining up for this game? I played it awhile ago before I gave it a chance and now I'm here to finally actually sit down and play it. I come from SWTOR so I don't know what to truly expect. But let me know if there's anything I should grind out or storywise I need to learn!
