Toughest outdoor wood finish

Making a picnic table that I want to last. Just do treated lumber, or hardwood w/ the most badass finish? What are your recommendations. Aesthetic doesn’t matter that much, but if there is a way to get a nice look and durability, I’m happy to hear about that too. In South Carolina lowcountry, lots of humidity and sunlight year round, hurricanes here and there.
