Ring Doorbell Offline

Hi all. I’ve had my Ring doorbell several years now. It has always connected to my internet with no issue. This last month it is constantly offline and when I checked the help on Amazon it said to buy a Ring Chime to extend the network. The thing is the router and Ring have been in the same place nearly 4 years so I’m wondering if that would help or if it’s just time to get a new one. Any ideas?
