Pve players have me switch to PvP

This is your typical story from a 31-year-old dad and husband who completely fell in love with Arc Raiders.

My buddy and I have loved this game since launch. We suck at PvP and have always been PvE players through and through. As I’ve posted before, I decided to challenge myself and get more involved in PvP with the new matchmaking system. I’ve definitely gotten better, but let’s be honest—I still suck.

Yesterday, we loaded into a raid and headed to Stella with the sole purpose of working on our PvP skills. Not even two minutes into the raid, we heard a gunfight break out nearby. Two players got taken out, and immediately the voice chat started blowing up.

“You’re a pu**y.”
“You’re a rat.”
“Why did you gun us down?”

Pretty much every insult you can think of.

The crazy part? The players who killed them didn’t even rat. They didn’t camp, ambush, or do anything shady. They simply won the fight.

It’s honestly starting to annoy me how freely people throw around the word “rat” these days. As someone who spent most of his time as a PvE player, I’ve surprisingly found myself getting more annoyed by some PvE players than PvP players lately.
