I’m devastated by how things ended between us. I wish our anger hadn’t bled into our actions and decisions and brought us to this place. Part of me wishes things could be different, wishes we could start over and do it right, but the truth is that there’s been so much pain, resentment, and hurt between us. The arguments became too frequent, almost constant, and it’s become clear that we aren’t loving each other the way we should. That’s one of the hardest things for me to accept. My biggest fear has surfaced—we’ve reached a point where it feels like we practically hate each other, yet deep down, despite everything that’s happened, I still find myself wanting your comfort and wanting to hear your voice because it feels like home. I can only speak for myself and say that I made mistakes, and I carry a tremendous amount of remorse for the ways I contributed to where we are now. But because I care so much, and because I struggle to let go and often make things worse when I hold on too tightly, I know I have to walk away. For the sake of our individual health, for my own growth, and for my kids, I have to take accountability, learn from this, and accept that sometimes loving someone also means knowing when it’s time to let them go.

I will always love you, and you’ll always have a special place in my heart. No matter where life takes us, the love I had for you and the memories we shared will always mean something to me. While I’m accepting the reality of where we are today, a part of me will always hope that maybe someday, when the hurt has healed and we’ve both had the chance to grow, there might be space for us again. Until then, all I can do is wish you happiness, peace, and the love you deserve.
Will always cherish our song it still means so much to mean that I find my self thinking of it play in the background of dancing ceremony at our wedding.
\-goodbye my dumpling.

Devastated that I won’t be your sleepy cowboy anymore.
