Business casual is actually harder than business formal

dk if this is just me, but business casual has been stressing me out more than actual formal work clothes lately lol

at least with formal clothes there are rules. with business casual, it feels like I’m just guessing and hoping I don’t look too dressed up, too casual, too boring, or like I tried too hard

this was me this morning pulling out options and somehow getting more confused instead of less

I wanted something polished but comfortable, okay for the commute, warm enough for the office, and not weird if I ended up doing something after work

and that is apparently too much to ask from one outfit 😭

the worst part is I’ll finally pick something, leave the house, and then halfway through the day I’m like… why did I wear this

does anyone actually have business casual figured out, or are we all just pretending?
