32 [M4F] #Online #Anywhere - Searching for a Girlfailure

Like me! Just kidding! …Unless?

I've made a few posts before this. While true, I feel like they've missed the point a little - painting a poetic, philosophical, pensive, almost melancholic picture of life, existence, and potential partner. I have an obsession with the reality and emotions of the slice-of-life mundanity of everyday existence, and this is ultimately the truth of the majority of the days we will spend together. So while the the philosophical thought, the poetry of our observations, and the emotions definitely matter (all also channelled into cynicism for our entertainment); who we are, what silly things we get up to to pass the time, and the meaningful minutia of how we go about the intertwining of our lives are what will fuel the (hopefully) roaring flames of our sparkling new connection.

I'm essentially looking for a mythical creature to inhabit a nursery rhyme with me. A Peter Pan-esque rejection of the meaningless illusions we call 'responsibility' and 'adulthood', and an embrace of Alice's 'world of her own' where everything is nonsense, except the world is ours and the nonsense is beyond her wildest imagination. Someone who, at the precipice of the end of the world, sees behind the curtain and has decided that a quiet afternoon and a warm cup of tea are all that is worth having as the universe burns around us. I also need someone who can handle my particular brand of chaos and mercuriality (and perhaps has her own). We must seamlessly transition from scathing, cynical societal critiques to rationalist philosophical critiques, to the particular cut of a presenter's dress, perhaps what our kittens got up to that day, or how a character's traumatic backstory doesn't quite add up. Order is definitely overrated in this space we'll create.

I love games and gaming, and we really need to merge our spaces. Introduce me to your passions, and I'll talk your ear off about my own universes that I've been lost in. I love all sorts of games, but especially gacha games (I play a lot of them). I enjoy focussing on characters, their aesthetics, their fashion, psychology and philosophy, and analysing narratives. Gacha games provide the perfect platform for all of these! Even though the overarching narratives are often hero journey skewed, there's always something to make fun of even in the most vapid 'save the world through the power of friendship while ignoring the antagonist's lucidity' story arc. Speaking of antagonists - I consider it my personal mission to uncover them all and celebrate the well written ones. This is where the strength in storytelling lies and where true philosophy lives - in the shadows of the best villains.

I'm sure it will be very easy to find things to do together if you're an internet resident like me. We could easily play through the same single player games, discuss upcoming things, watch shows or anime, even find some good books on our search for antagonists (which I will rope you into). Maybe you'll even listen to my soliloquy about why yuri is the superior form of romance - it’s the only genre that understands that the most profound tragedy is also the most intimate, and that when you’re building a world for two, the quietest glance holds more narrative weight than a thousand 'save the world' boss battles - or any one of my many 2 am unhinged rants (not that I have any). I bet you'll have your own localised insanity and things that you're definitely unnecessarily passionate about that require unpacking, and I'm most definitely here for it.

To be more specific, at the moment I love Wuthering Waves and Neverness to Everness (it's so slice-of-life, domestic, and cozy). I'm busy with a lot of games hopping around to whatever I feel like - Pragmata, and 007 First Light at the moment, and I'm always looking for a League of Legends duo, or a friend to travel through the vast story of FFXIV and the world of Eorzea, or perhaps a quieter survival game where we could build something pretty and domestic in relative peace (I will not allow you to wear armour that is unfashionable).

It would be nice if our philosophies aligned perfectly and we wanted to play the exact same games or do the exact same things, but that's not how it works, is it? This post is not a value judgment (we have enough of those), and its purpose is not to find someone who matches every silly thing I've talked about. it's more of a search for anyone on the path of deconstructing the lies we tell ourselves who is now also pursuing the freedom of nonsense and the embracing of our whimsiest of whims where true everyday peace lies. Neither is it a request to abandon the weight of existence to replace the suffering with a mandate of whimsy. The true balance is struck where we can both embrace our own passions and share them with each other, while also having the ability to voice any thought, frustration, or simply sit quietly together if the days get too heavy. The light that blooms exists in the companionship, whether it's through fun and chaos, or pensive the empathy of a shared afternoon.

So, let's close the door on this sunlit room, a space built on the absolute assumption of each other's worth—a retreat where the frantic demands of society cannot reach us, and where we never have to prove ourselves or earn the space we share.
