Audio issue...please help. Installed a single speaker now no sound from any speaker.

Bought a new set of Pioneer speakers, 2 front and 2 rear, for my standard cab 2005 Silverado 1500...does not have Bose. Before I started installing them I turned the radio on to remind me if any speakers were still working and only the rear speakers were making sound even after confirming the fade/balance was feeding all four. No sound came from front speakers just to be clear.

Pulled the right door speaker out and installed new speaker only to find it wasn't making any sound, but rear speakers were still playing music at that point. Checked both wires for continuity to the head unit...the hot wire (light green) wasn't working.

So I ran a new wire...confirmed continuity and tried turning on the radio. Now no sound going to any speaker. Double checked continuity for the hot and ground for the right door speaker...checked the fade/balance too just to be certain.

Why on earth are gmt800 sound systems so difficult?
