Unfortunately, her husband flaked again, some excuse of an exciting game being held in a nearby stadium, and how he'd be going there with his friends. Martha was furious, but couldn't even give vent to it since the man had simply left a voice note. She made herself some simple dinner, and watched some shitty soap operas before heading to bed.

Around half past 12, she awoke to the sound of a key struggling with the main door. It rattled for a moment, before the door opened, and then closed with a loud thud. From the footsteps, it didn't seem to be her husband. Martha half sat up, wondering if it was a robbery, but then realised that wasn't likely since the person already had keys to the house.

A couple moments later, Mark stumbled into her bedroom, before flopping down onto the bed. Coming back after a year seemed to have messed up his memory since the guy thought the master bedroom was his own bedroom. Martha was taken aback, looking down at her boy.

"Mark! What are you doing? Are you drunk?? Did you start drinking??" She whispered urgently.

"Ughhh c'mon Hellyyy. Stopppp. You're not my mom. Don't tell me not to drink... Ugh ..." The guy groaned in irritation, squirming into a more comfortable position. His arm wrapped around Martha's torso, body snuggling up against her.
