Hypothetical scenario for you.

Say there's this person. He's loud, completely obnoxious, and he smiles far too much for his own good. He runs headfirst into danger like he gets paid for it and genuinely thinks everyone deserves a second chance, which is objectively ridiculous. He's also kind of impossible to get rid of.

Every time he gets hurt, you get this weird, suffocating feeling in your chest that makes you want to go violently threaten whoever did it. And every time he does something incredibly stupid, you just want to yell at him until that stupid smile finally fades off his face.

You also find yourself accidentally memorizing the most useless details about him. His favorite food. His favorite songs. The way he starts talking faster and faster when he's excited, or the fact that he chews on his hoodie strings whenever he’s thinking. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

And every time he looks disappointed in you, it honestly feels like somebody reached straight into your ribcage and squeezed—which is just incredibly inconvenient.

Anyway, people keep telling me I should 'be honest' and 'communicate,' but that sounds an awful lot like emotional vulnerability, which I am pretty sure is a massive tactical mistake. You're supposed to be the expert on making people like you. How do you convince someone you're worth keeping around without making it completely obvious that you actually care what they think?

And before you suggest buying them flowers, speedsters metabolize pollen far too fast for that to mean anything.

...Also, if your immediate answer is !>murder<!, I am currently trying this whole 'better person' thing right now, so please come up with a secondary option.

(OOC: This is intended for Cupid, however I am open for anyone who wishes to offer advice to comment if you want.)
