CDL cost and profit.

Does anyone actually know what the profit margin is for the cdl compared to what gets paid out in prize money and setting up tournaments? I know everyone likes to hop on the fuck the CDL train , but I mean business is business. If you spend more then you make for half a decade keeping costs as low as you can makes sense?
