For anyone who didn't see, this upcoming game was showcased at the Future Games Show and described as "a nostalgic soulslike set in a painted afterlife." It's pretty cool and I had fun with the demo that was released. So far, this is what I liked/what I personally think needs to change:

**Likes:**

* Graphically true to the golden era of early PS1
* Combat is fun and the focus on parrying/blocking is very apparent
* Not extremely punishing (at least in the demo/early on) but required some skill building to get better at combat
* Great soundtrack so far
* Fun concept, excited to see the story unfold
* If level design is similar to the demo prison level, this game is gonna be veeery good
* Felt soulslike, but didn't at all feel like it was a copycat, down to the HUD. It has its own overall vibe and I love that.

**Dislikes/Needs some Changes:**

* No option for ultrawide or 16:19 ratio support. I get the appeal of the 4:3 ratio to mimic old style games, but this should be an option, not a requirement. It looked silly playing a 4:3 ratio game on a 21:9 monitor.
   * I suspect this will look even more awkward on big widescreen TVs that most people have for PS5 players.
* The haziness effect of the PS1 is great, but was a bit much for me and gave me a headache. I'd love to see a toggle or level adjustment for this effect. As it stands, the game is much too blurry.
