Do you guys think Ubuntu is going to close source?

Discussion

I read that California's new OS age bill will not affect open source OS's. However, it will likely still affect Steam OS since that contains components proprietary to steam. Correct me if that information and more in this post is wrong.

Last I checked, Canonical (ubuntu) was supporting this bill and currently Ubuntu is still open source. Which means Canonical is currently not affected despite their support. The only way I see this changing is if they decide to close-source future releases. With the direction Canonical is going, I think it's becoming more possible. Which will hurt many of the Ubuntu forks, including mint, that rely on these new releases. (We have LMDE, yes.)

What do you guys think?
