What is the right balance between shortform and longform?

Ive started streaming semi-consistently and have been going through and making sure to create clips of my streams from funny moments or good gameplay (I play CS2 mainly), and I started uploading those clips as youtube shorts 3 days ago and each is averaging 1000-2000 views. The problem? I dont have any longform videos to compliment the short form yet. So I am wondering if its fine to proceed for the first few weeks with shorts only while I ideate on good ideas for longer form content.

Also side note! Is 1000-2000 views per short a good metric for starting brand new? It seems they are getting picked up by the algorithm, and then it disappears randomly.
