Xiaomi 4 Ultra vs Kugoo G2: Which one for city riding and in general?
Hey everyone!
I'm looking for a scooter for city rides about 2-3 times a week (mostly asphalt and bike lanes) and I'm stuck between the Xiaomi Mi 4 Ultra and the Kugoo KuKirin G2. Speed isn't the most important thing to me. Build quality and suspension are more important to me.
Xiaomi Mi 4 Ultra
- Price: $570
- Max power: 940W
- Range: up to 70 km
- Top speed: 20 km/h
- Battery: 561.5 Wh
- Tires: 10" self-healing DuraGel
- Suspension: dual suspension
- Weight: 26 kg
- Max load: 120 kg
- Water resistance: IP55
Kugoo KuKirin G2
- Price: $600
- Motor: 800W
- Range: up to 55 km
- Top speed: 25 km/h
- Battery: 48V / 15Ah / 720Wh
- Tires: 10" pneumatic tires
- Brakes: front + rear disc brakes
- Weight: 26 kg
- Max load: 120 kg
- Water resistance: IP54
My main questions for owners:
-
Real range: Xiaomi claims 70km on a smaller battery, while Kugoo claims 55km on a bigger one. What's the actual real-world range for both?
-
Speed vs. Comfort: Is the 20 km/h limit on the Xiaomi annoying in the city? Does its suspension and gel tires make up for being slower?
-
Reliability: Which scooter needs less maintenance right out of the box?
Thanks for any advice!
