I dont know if there is a different Chinese title or what app it may be on based on the screenshot layout( I know there are a lot of these types of novels, but I'm looking for this one specifically). She battles weird vampire like night demon things also right after the portion below.

Chapter 1 The Beginning

Do not reply to messages from the universe!

Iris Hale was twenty, a student who'd repeated two years of high school. Fresh out of the SATs exams, her life was ordinary, but quietly happy.

She couldn't possibly imagine what the elites at the pinnacle of human civilization were worrying about, much less that they had contacted an alien civilization.

By the time she found out, the Galactic Empire had already broadcast a declaration of war to the entire Blue Planet.

"The 7-Star Civilization Galactic Empire is now challenging the Level 0.7 Blue Planet to a war. Under the Cosmic War Law, high-level civilizations can't just use force to conquer lower ones. Instead, a wager protocol has been set up for a survival war.

"Starting today, all humans on Blue Planet between the ages of 18 and 55, except those unable to care for themselves, will be digitized and thrown into a survival game to fight against the environment and Abyssal Species.

"If anyone clear the game, Blue Planet wins. The Galactic Empire will revive everyone who died in the game, help Blue Planet upgrade to a Level 1 civilization, and establish friendly interstellar relations.

"If no one clears it, the Galactic Empire wins. Blue Planet will become a dependent planet, and the Galactic Empire will have absolute control over it."

"The Cosmic Court has been summoned to adjudicate...

"The Cosmic Court announces that the Galactic Empire has exercised its coercive authority. Blue Planet is not permitted to refuse the wager.

"The Cosmic Court announces that a survival game mode is now being randomly selected.

"Selection finalized. Ten seconds to digitization, Blue Planet's chosen will soon enter the Highway Survival Game. Countdown starting. 10, 9, 8, 7..."

Iris wondered if she'd lost her mind, then picked up the phone to call her parents, hoping they'd take her to the hospital for a check-up.

Before she could even say "hello," a blue light flashed in front of her, and she instantly blacked out.

\[Ding! Hello Player, welcome to the Highway Survival Game. Here are the rules.

\[1. The game map updates every 30 days. This month's map is the Storm Forest. Please try hard to stay alive.

\[2. The highway is relatively safe. Unknown dangers exist off the road, so step carefully.

\[3. Resource chests will spawn by the highway. Open them to get supplies, or maybe face a crisis.

\[Barrier-free communication activated. All languages and text you encounter will automatically translate into something you know. Please think Game Panel to start the beginner tutorial.\]

Iris instinctively thought "Game Panel." A virtual screen popped up in front of her. An arrow pointed to different sections on the screen, along with a voiceover.

The sections were: Player Profile, Forum, Chat Channel, and Leaderboard.

\[The Player Profile showed:

\[ID: H008154088

\[Name: Iris Hale\]

"This info is public and everyone can see it. The rest is hidden unless someone has special tracking tools. This warning will only show up once," the system voice explained.

\[Body Development Value: 3/10 (Trash, basically just not crippled.)

\[Brain Domain Development Value: 8/99 (Barely excellent for a human.)

\[Battle Points: 0 (Start your journey, rookie.)

\[Combat Level: Level 0

\[Total Mileage: 0

\[Points: 0 (Mileage converts 1:1 to points. You can spend them at Service Areas.)\]

The Forum, Chat Channel, and Leaderboard were still locked, and there was no sign of any "Service Area."

She looked closely at the two development stats, Body Development Value and Brain Domain Development Value. For example, in 3/10, the "3" was her unlocked potential, and the "10" was the max limit for a human body.

Looking back at the panel, the arrow turned into a prize wheel: \[Please draw your vehicle gift pack.\]

The wheel had bikes, tricycles, scooters, motorcycles, vans, cars, SUVs, and RVs. There were even blank spots, meaning one could get nothing at all.

Iris's heart skipped a beat. In her perfectly ordinary life, she'd never even found a stray dime, let alone won a prize. But things were already weird enough, so she decided to just play along.

Iris tapped the wheel. It spun super fast and then popped with digital confetti: \[Congratulations! You got a mountain bike and a basic cycling gear set.\]

\[Friendly Reminder: Since players were forced into this game, a 12-hour newbie protection is active. You are totally safe during this time. Please hurry up and gather supplies, and figure out how to play. The Storm Forest mode will start in 12 hours.\]

Iris quickly looked around. She was on a four-lane, two-way road. It was a mess. Rusted cars and rotting trash were hidden in the weeds. Looking up, she saw a bunch of ruined high-rises. It was a total ghost town.

She checked herself. Her body was exactly the same, but her clothes had turned into a white t-shirt and shorts. Her sneakers were now straw sandals.

A black mountain bike was parked next to her. If she wasn't in the middle of a nightmare, she definitely would have admired its sleek look and expensive feel.

There was a gift box by the bike. Iris untied the ribbon and knew right away it was the free cycling gear.

She put on the helmet, fingerless gloves, and kneepads. Then she grabbed the cycling backpack, tossed the goggles and tire pump inside, put it on, and stood there gripping her bike, unsure of what to do.

"Stay calm. Find the problem, solve the problem," Iris told herself, trying to stay composed.

Maybe it was from taking too many tests, but once Iris went into "exam mode," she somehow threw all her fear and worry out the window. Her brain only focused on the key points.

12 hours, newbie protection, totally safe, supplies, rules, rainstorm.

This bike wouldn't survive a heavy rainstorm. She had to find a shelter, plus enough food, water, fuel, and weapons within 12 hours.

Points were like money, but Iris had no idea how far she could actually go in 12 hours. Normally, an hour on a bike was already too much for her. And even with points, she didn't know where to spend them.

The game panel said it was around 12:00 PM. The protection countdown was at 11:56:34.

This was a ruined city. She should be able to dig up something useful from the trash. Based on common sense, she was on a main road, so there should be plenty of stores on both sides.

Iris immediately spotted a large shopping mall up ahead on the right. She hopped on the bike and took off.

With the very first pedal, she realized how good the mountain bike was. Even with the terrible roads, it didn't slow her down at all. It felt light, fast, her mood even lifted for a second.

She quickly reached the mall and hid her bike inside a ruined clothing store.

The store was a mess, looking like it had been robbed. Racks were knocked over, and almost all the clothes were gone. Just a few stray pieces were basically glued to the dusty floor, too filthy to even shake out.

Iris pulled a steel pipe off the bottom of a clothing rack and went to check behind the counter. She only found some weird-looking paper money, which she pocketed anyway, maybe she could use it to start a fire.

Leaning against the wall, she carefully turned a door handle, feeling a bit creeped out. The light showed a small storage room inside. There wasn't much left. It had been picked clean.

Iris felt a heavy weight in her chest. A really bad feeling washed over her. She quickly checked the stores next door.

Sure enough, whether it was a snack bar, a convenience store, or a restaurant, there were no clothes and no food. Even knives, air conditioners, and any electronics with metal were completely gone.

It was like the city had been hit by a massive disaster, and every single useful thing had been scavenged.

Iris walked deeper into the mall, hoping someone had missed something.

In the dim shopping center, empty cases lay scattered. Dust lay heavy on the floor, each footprint etched with startling clarity.

'Wait, footprints!' she thought.

Iris stared at the messy footprints on the floor, feeling a rush of fear. There was no dust settling in the tracks, which meant someone had been moving around recently.

'Are they players or NPCs? Does this game even have NPCs?' she wondered.

Iris bit her hand and took a deep breath. She quickly tried to figure out where the footprints went. But there were so many of them, everywhere, that she could barely tell they were heading in one general direction.

But it was quiet as a grave here. If that many people were really here, there'd have to be some noise.

Iris hugged the wall and followed the tracks. Most of them led down to the supermarket in the basement. The entrance was wide open like a black hole, leading down into total darkness.

She slowly backed away, fighting with her own thoughts. She tightened her grip on the steel pipe, deciding that better safe than sorry.

Trying to find a specific Survival Game novel that has apparently just disappeared.
