Red Oak - Bark Splitting, Leaves Look Odd

Advice Request - (Insert State/Region)

All,

Please see the images linked above. Our red oak (or at least what we believe is a red oak) has bark that is starting to split. Additionally, the leaves look a bit unusual.

Is this a sign of deterioration or a potential health issue? The tree is approximately 10 years old. Are there any specific concerns we should be looking for, or any additional details that would help identify the cause?

I appreciate your guidance and any recommendations you can provide.

Thank you!
