Cancelled stock investment

Hi all,

I’ve only just started investing this year and wanted to check my account. When I logged into my account and i noticed that my last two payments never got invested and instead say cancelled. The moneys been taken out of my account and is sitting there as cash. I didn’t do this and I’m confused as to why the cash is sitting there but never got invested, is this normal? Sorry if it’s a stupid question I’m just confused and wondering if anyone could help me understand the issue, thank you!
