Nikki walks backwards

Does anybody have a logical reason why Nikki walks backwards all of the sudden after Bear says I love you? I don't get how it ties into the obsession unless it had to do with real Nikki being combative of Wish Nikki but that seems wrong.. I just was wondering if someone had a more in depth idea of why.
