Hot take: Act 2 sucks

Love BG3. have completed the game 4 times on all different difficulties. Last one was my honour mode run. Love it to pieces and honestly believe it's a landmark in gaming, hoooowever...

Act 2 brings the game to a grinding halt. The tone, the repetitive environment, the constant "ooooh spoooky" theme. It just bores the crap out of me and makes me want to put the game down.

It feels much more repetitive and on rails than the rest of the game. Act 1? Oh what's this, the underdark, a completely optional multi hour side area with factions and multiple questlines? Act 3? Same deal, so many hidden areas and factions. House of hope anyone? But Act 2 just feels like a 5 hour unskippable side quest. Hate it.
