Been sitting on this one for a few weeks now and was eager to try it. So far I’ve had the white and red from West Tampa Cigars and both of those were great. This one I was saving for a nice afternoon like today. Sunny skies, just got out of the pool and all by myself.
Not a great start, had to cut a bit off the cap since it was so tightly packed, I couldn’t even get a smooth cold draw. After clipping it three times with a straight cut I went and grabbed a drill bit to poke a few holes through the tightly packed tobacco. Finally got a decent pull but cracked the wrapper a little.
Starts off with a nice spicy earthy flavor and a bitter-sweetness of browned butter. Still a little tight on the draw but I ain’t gonna mess with it anymore. I’ll let it do its thing. Other reviews report a nice smooth draw. Seems I got a one off stick. I’m not usually a short cigar smoker but it’s a nice change of pace. Maybe I can smoke my Tabernacle 142 David perfecto after this while my daughter is napping. Fingers crossed.
Almost half way and it’s opened up some. Pepper is powering through not bringing any sweetness with it. It’s all earthy and spicy.
Last half is bringing in more earth and wood that is very close to the essence of a woodshop with sawdust and wood stain. As a carpenter, I like it. Pepper is still front and center. I wish it had more sweetness to balance out the profile but that’s the great thing about cigars. Different is sometimes a good thing.
Last inch. Opening up nicely. I wish it started this way. No changes from before except the smoke is nice and full. Chewy even.
I’ll grab a fiver on my next order. Cigar circus has a promo right now for 25% off using code: WTCC I’ll give it another shot over the summer.

Devil Crab. I read a lot of great things about it. Lets see how it does
