Bloat or Bump? When can I tell the difference!

I am still very early on, at 9 weeks and 4 days, and I know that it’s still going to be awhile before I show, but I also don’t know when I’m going to “know” I’m actually showing!

I don’t have a super protruding belly at the moment, but as a plus size person it’s still definitely larger. My waist is between 44-46inches the last time I checked. And probably maybe like 50in at the largest? I haven’t measured myself in awhile tbh. I honestly kind of worry I’m not even going to notice a bump because sometimes now when I’m already bloated it doesn’t seem like it takes much for me to just “fake” one.

So what are signs or things to know that my belly is actually starting to bump? Will it feel different than when I’m just bloated? Like will it be harder or bouncier or something? As weird as it is to say, one of the things I’m most excited about in being pregnant is having a bump! But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried that because of my body size I won’t even notice when I get a bump or I won’t ever really show. Having a bump feels like it would be really special and wonderful, and the idea that already being plus sized means I could be robbed of that is making me sad 😔.

Please help me know what I can look for!! TIA!
