The unnecessary drama

Ive rewatched Gilmore girls at least 100 times. I’m watching again a rn every time I watch episodes like this I cringe. It’s season 1 episode 15, Lorelai and Luke planned to paint the diner, Christopher’s parents come to Friday night dinner and they get in a fight and she forgets about painting. Luke asks if it was an emergency and she says “no I’m just a flake” like she had a genuine excuse, she couldn’t explained and said it slipped her mind because of that. Luke would’ve understood. But instead she’s the bad guy. There’s so many plots like this where Lorelei or Rory do this and it’s so frustrating.
