oral minoxidil side effects?

i am 10 months on T and noticing some hair thinning. I already had a funky hairline so I'm not wanting to lose any more hair if I can help it. Does anyone have experience with oral minoxidil? topical is not an option for me because of my sweet darling angel cat. I've heard that oral minoxidil also affects hair growth everywhere and I wouldn't mind being hairier on the rest of my body too so thats not an issue. however I have also heard of side effects like acne, weight gain, depression, anxiety, sleep issues, heart disease, etc. Are these common issues? I also heard that you have to just keep taking the medication or else your hair starts thinning again and I'm not so keen on taking this stuff for years and years, but please let me know if you guys know anything about this. thank you!
