Is Subpilot Worth It? My Honest Experience

Question / Discussion

I came across Subpilot after seeing quite a few mixed and negative comments about it online, so I wasn’t really sure if it was worth trying at first. Some people were saying it’s not that useful, and others were mentioning concerns around subscriptions and privacy.

Still, I decided to try it because I was honestly just getting tired of not knowing exactly what I was being charged for every month.

When I first used it, it felt pretty basic. It just shows your recurring subscriptions in one place, so at the beginning I thought it’s nothing special and I could probably check this myself if I wanted to.

But after using it a bit more, I actually noticed it picked up a couple of subscriptions I had forgotten about, which was kind of the main thing I needed anyway. It also made it easier to see my monthly spending clearly without digging through statements.

I was a bit careful in the beginning because it connects to financial data, but I didn’t face any issues personally. Everything looked pretty clear when I connected it, so I didn’t really have confusion there.

Overall, it’s not something I’d say everyone needs, especially if you only have a few subscriptions. But if you have multiple services running like I did, it can make things a bit easier to track.
