24 and feeling stuck
i’m only 24, which i know is pretty young to be making claims about how stuck i feel in life, but i really do. i’ve never felt like this before i think. i’ve got friends who already went through some phases or moments in their lives where they had some sort of crisis (perhaps over choosing a career, turbulent love lives etc) but i somehow have been safe from that until now, when for the first time ever i realized there’s a lot of things in my life i dislike and would like to change, or i feel lost in some ways, and it’s very hard and weird to navigate
i don’t have a particularly interesting love life. i don’t think there’s anything wrong with me - i’ve been told before that i’m attractive/pretty, i’ve had some flings here and there but never something truly serious in real life (i e-dated before, i guess because i wasn’t ready for the real thing). i guess i haven’t out myself out there enough really, and it’s a necessary step if i want to change this but i’m really scared of doing so. the dating pool seems.. not very good from what i see. in that sense i would also like to expand my friend circle because i need more people who share interests with me but i dont have them because of the same reason. but like, i know i need to get past this stupid fear i have of opening up or trying new things if i want to improve any of those two areas
as for my career im currently “stuck” trying to see if a job i really want can really be feasible or not :/ i dont even know if its what i want for my life in the long run which makes it all the more confusing
to top it all off i still live with my parents. thats not weird where im from, as people aren’t expected to move out once they step into adulthood. but i think maybe it’d be good for me to try to save up and do it
honestly here’s no point in ranting about this lol because its as if i already knew the solutions to some of those problems but they still feel hard to solve, in a way. is it normal to feel directionless even if your life isnt even that bad? surely there’s people older than me here and id love to know how you navigated these feelings, idk
