Hello and Kia ora NZ Reddit,
We are due with identical twin boys next week and we have landed on the names on Bert and Kurt.

For context, we’re a mixed Kiwi European Scottish, Irish other European and Māori family who are your classic farming family so very stereotypical what you think of when you think of a Kiwi. 🥝 🐑

Here is was our shortlist and it was all over the place.

Names that were seriously in the running included:
All the names are namesakes.

And after all that, we ended up with Bert and Kurt.

What vibe do Bert and Kurt give?
Which names should have won?
Are Bert and Kurt future farmers, tradies, accountants, rugby players, or all of the above?
At what point on the shortlist would you have started questioning our judgement?
