Australia 2027

Hi -

I'm developing a paralysis by analysis trying to figure out an itinerary. Last trip was the Capella Hotel in Sydney and the Longitude 131 lodge at Uluru, which was great.

We'd are thinking we'd like to do one more trip. We'd like to stay at the Capella Hotel again as a base. To make the trip worthwhile, I think we need a 'special' or unique experience such as Longitude was on the last trip.

Here's some thoughts:

  1. Capella Lodge - Lord Howe Island. Not so sure about this because of the huge risk of cancelled flights. There's only one flight back from Lord Howe. We are not water types either.

  2. Southern Ocean Lodge. Some logistics issues. There's not really that many flights to Kangaroo Island and then you have a 2 hour drive from the airport.

  3. Saffire Freycinet. Kind of the same problem as Southern Ocean Lodge. That said, Tasmania looks great. Hobart looks like a fun city to spend a few days. But without a car, where else?

I'm starting to think for the money we would spend, we could just run up to Canada somewhere, such as Vancouver Island, and find some luxury eco-lodges or the like.

Thoughts?
