First gridlife/ camping

This is going to be my first gridlife event and I have car camping and vip. I plan to get there Thursday night? What time do people start showing up on Thursday? Is there much to do Thursday? Also any other first time gridlife tips are appreciated, I’ve been to many car events but not a festival of any sort
