[M4F] 28 #Online or #UK - So well adjusted it's boring?
You know how some people have the main character syndrome? Well, sometimes I even envy them. For me it's really hard to come up with a single reason why I would be the main character even in my own story! Don't get me wrong, this is not a "woe is me" lamentation... It's actually quite the opposite. I feel like I'm just more or less happy with my lot in life, you know?
I have a great stable career as a senior software engineer. Boring for some but I love it! I live by myself, completely independent in a house that I like. I'm quite fond of my hobbies and interests even if some people would dismiss those as "need stuff". So I like building LEGOs in my spare time, so what? They're great! I love board games, I love science fiction, I love nature documentaries... And I love my friends and family. I'm healthy, I'm stable. There is just no drama in my life whatsoever, somehow. Even though the world seems crazy with all the news headlines, I managed to simply live a perfectly ordinary life.
So maybe if I'm not the main character, I need one? I just feel like what I have is so nice that I'm willing to share it with the right woman. And if that woman wants to be in charge, I'm more than happy to support her in her ambition, be someone who adds to her time and energy rather than subtracts.
They call it "finding your other half" but what if your perfect match is someone who already feels complete on his own, someone who doesn't view you as a means of filling some kind of void but instead treats you like a companion worth following?
If you'd like to chat and see where this goes, I'd welcome a message or two. In any case, thanks for reading this, ciao! :)
