I'm not a fan of the theory that Razor actively maintains all of the emissive systems on Greed Island.
A lot of Hunter x Hunter fans like to hype Razor up by saying he's much more powerful than we think he is because in addition to being a Nen powerhouse, he is such WHILE maintaining all of the emissive spell cards in the game like Leave and Accompany. While it's a fun idea, it doesn't really make sense that Ging and Razor would program the game this way. We know that Nen items can be created via Shu or conjuration and maintain their powers without being actively focused on by their creators. Ging's cassette tape and Illumi's needle are probably the most famous examples of this. Granted, they aren't conjured items as I suspect Greed Island's cards are, but the idea's the same. I much prefer the idea that Ging and Razor programmed the cards and the effects they'd have with Nen years ago so that they'd work without his immediate attention. While it does downplay Razor a bit compared to the alternative, I think it's more sensible than him holding up a large portion of Greed Island's game mechanics like he's Atlas holding up the sky or something. Besides, I don't think we need to artificially bolster Razor's power level anyhow. Because even without all that, he is STILL without a doubt one of the strongest Nen users in the series.
