Does anyone have ANY proof that the Luck stat itself, not it’s perks, affects loot drops?

I keep seeing this same thing posted in comment sections and in twitch chats, and I have never seen anyone provide any proof of this actually happening.

Neither wiki mentions this being the case from what I can tell, nothing in the game says this from what I have seen either, and people have given 0 proof from what I can find of this working.

And yet it is repeated by some people with 100% certainty that it directly affects random loot in containers and enemies.
