Take this Shed and Shove It. I ain't livin here no more.

I live with my partner of 9 years out here in the country in Virginia. We are in dire need of extra storage space and since we have plenty of outside space (2 acres) we were thinking about buying or building a shed. Nothing fancy - just a 12x12 storage shed for tools and other stuff we aren't immediately using.

Our simple plan quickly turned into WWIII and I'm so pissed at him I'm ready to leave. Since we can't find what we want in ready made sheds I asked a friend of his who has experience in this to give me a quote. I had fiddled with a way to cover the cost by transferring money from one of my bank accounts so I told.y partner the shed would be my gift to him in celebration of our sobriety and our new beginning.

Last night contractor came by with the quote. It was reasonable and within budget, I thought. Almost immediately my partner started giving off very negative signals about the cost and materials. Too expensive. Materials for the floor and unnecessary and partner could built it for way less money using cheaper materials and different lengths of wood.

I knew he would do this. He is such a fuckin control freak he has to take over every home project. The problem is that he fucks up or doesn't finish any of them. Plus he has no sense of time so as soon as he takes on a home project he does stupid shit like volunteering to work overtime at his job. This morning he comes to me with his proposal about the shed. Acts like a condescending jerk. I shut that shit down and totally lost my temper. I ended up really pissed and told him his projects all turn out to be shit that falls apart or is never finished and I am not wasting my money on his ugly, poorly constructed and half done garbage just to feed his inflated ego.

We got in a huge fight and now he's calling me an unsupportive bitch for not funding his fantasy of being the next Bob Vila. Idgaf. I'm about to pack my stuff and exit stage left.

Whew. Reading this post makes me wonder wtf I'm doing with this clown.
