Extra Inning ABS Rules

How do you feel about giving a team an extra ABS challenge in extra innings? Just finished watching SF vs CHC and the Giants ran out of challenges around the 6th inning but were awarded an extra challenge in the 10th inning. Felt off to me and sort of contradictory to the ghost runner rule trying to speed up extras. I know it’s only an extra 10 seconds but still, felt weird to me. Thoughts?
