Crossplay question

Hey all!

So I've been playing for a long time on Xbox and just this past holidays I've switched to PC due to the state of Microsoft business choices. I have Steam's version of DayZ from years ago and recently DayZ just allowed Crossplay.

Now my question is can I crossplay with my friends on Xbox from Steam's version or would I need to download the PC Xbox app DayZ version to play with them (Xbox console can only play with Xbox PC just for clarification)?
