Tell me why I actually felt bad for her

Monica is a complicating character and I was so conflicted by the end of her story.She’s a great character in the story,annoying but so well-written.

On Season 8 episode 17,I broke.That scene where she said goodbye to Wesley and knew she would never see him again hurt me,the fact that he was her only actual ‘friend’ and that she knew she could go to him without him ratting her out makes it hurt that much more.Even after all that happened,deep down she genuinely trusted him.

And her final line “Not in the face” and the things leading up to it,the missed turn,the locked door,and the assassins ominous “no I didn’t”

I didn’t want her to die,she was scared those last few moments,you could tell.She regretted what she did and she wanted to start again,she said “I can’t,I’m in too deep” she wanted to get out of it,but knew she couldn’t.

Monica can be infuriating a lot,but that final episode made my opinions of her completely change,and I feel bad for her.
