Dreams
One of the most common pieces of advice is “Follow your dreams”. This saying is everywhere and it applies to more than just your career. One of the things that upsets me is that I don’t feel like I have any dreams. Career wise predominately, but sometimes in general. All I know is that I want to have a job that gives me a sense of purpose and provides the opportunity to grow. I want to be financially comfortable with time to be able to see new places. This doesn’t narrow the path much. I wish when people said “don’t be scared to follow your dreams” that I could take that advice. I would receive it strongly if I had the aspirations. Is there a way to develop them while in your twenties. If there is, how?
For reference, I studied Economics at University. I would also not mind doing something completely different. I would love more perspective.
