I need serious advice!!!

\- The piercing is a curved barbell.  
\- Has not been downsized ever since I got it done.  
\- At first I did a salt and water mixture on top of dial antibacterial soap then I switched to neilmed aftercare dark can spray.  
\- I did use to do wrestling and bumped it and it bled, that’s around the time it started to form a bump so I know that’s a factor. It hasn’t moved closer to the surface of my face in a rejecting way.  
\- I’m usually good with silver so I can’t be allergic to it I’m only allergic to gold but I’m not sure what material the bar is.

\*\*I’ve gotten my eyebrow piercing done back in spring of last year, but during that winter I’ve started to get an irritation bump. I tried the salt water and non-scented antibacterial soap that was recommended to me whenever I got pierced at the shop I usually go to but it hasn’t gone down. Now I have one bump on each side and I’ve switched to neilmed piercing aftercare but I haven’t see much going down since then. 

I’ve recently went to my piercing place to get advice from someone but they said I can’t downsize because they don’t have a smaller size. They also said I shouldn’t because my body could be rejecting it and if I do it might make it worse. Only advice the piercer gave me was to ride it out and see what happens and just use a warm compress and antibacterial soap.

But my problem is the fact that it’s too long and it’s getting caught and bumped around which is causing the bumps to stay. Should I go to another piercing place to get second advice or should I just accept that it might be time to let it go?
