Driver spin too high
Starting jumping into a simulator lately to try and see my numbers and where I can improve.
Right now I feel like I’m leaving distance on the table, especially with my driver. I swing around 110 chs with an angle of attack around 3-4 positive. So I feel good about that.
What I don’t have as much data around is my dynamic loft which I’ll be looking into on my next go, but I’ve seen it as high as 17-20. Thus a spin loft creeping too high.
I’m seeing my spin rates today hitting above 3000 on so many swings.
I consider myself a decent player around a 4 handicap but I just don’t play much anymore. Play with a strong grip that can cause some toe hits.
A 7 iron for example is solid where I can swing at 93 chs and hit about 175-180 carry with an angle of attack at 3-4 down. Dynamic lift probably high here too.
I may be a bit “flippy” through impact but I’m wondering how that plays when my angle of attacks as an indicator is generally okay.
Wondering if early extension is there. I tried something out where I always feel far from the ball and pressure more towards toes. I stood a bit closer and felt more pressure towards mid foot to heels as a test. Saw my spin finally drop sub 3000s on my driver but not sure if that’s a fools gold solution. Or am I flippy and thar help not early extend and flip.
Any thoughts and insights appreciated!
