Hey everyone,

I’ve been a Linux user for a while, and I always felt there was a huge gap for anyone looking for a true alternative to PotPlayer on Windows. While there are many media players, most of them lack the advanced organization and continuity features that make a media player actually "smart."

I developed Reva Player to solve this problem. It is an open-source, local-first player designed for people who need to organize their media files and track their progress without any hassle.

Why should you try Reva?

* 📊 **Smart Playlist Analytics:** Reva doesn't just display files; it calculates the total duration of the entire playlist. Perfect for knowing how long a training course will take.
* 📍 **Auto-Resume and Progress Tracking:** It remembers exactly where you left off in each video and tracks your progress across the entire playlist history.
* 🔖 **In-Video Bookmarks:** You can save specific timestamps inside the video to return to your favorite scenes instantly.
* ❤️ **Save Videos as Favorites:** You can save your important videos to a favorites list for quick and easy access anytime.
* 🎨 **Multiple Visual Themes:** It comes with several built-in themes and distinct colors so you can choose the look that suits you.
* 📝 **Advanced Subtitle Management:** Options to sync and format subtitles easily.
* 🔒 **100% Local and Private:** No accounts, no cloud storage. Everything is stored locally on your device.

It took a lot of work to get the organization and user interface right, but it finally made managing local media on Linux a smooth experience.

If you are looking for a player that actually helps you manage what you watch, try it out! I welcome any feedback or suggestions to improve the application.
