Is AFAB a problematic term?

so im doing my capstone project on menstrual health awareness and i'm trying to use a correct term for statistics. however im trying to use abbreviations as a way to shorten some things

i dont have a problem with the term afab as a genderfluid person but recently ive been told its problematic so can someone lmk?
