Why did Jimmy kill himself in the BCS season 3 finale?

I just rewatched “Lantern” and always get confused whenever I see the scene of Jimmy in a space blanket pushing the lantern of his table. Did he do this because of Chuck? Kim? Howard? Gus? Johnny Lawrence?
