Hello everyone. Idk if story of anyone out there is like mine but i relaly want to put it out for any suggestions.
I have my final year exams around January 18, 2027. And i am planning to take step 1 before them, like in December 2026. Because if i delay it till after my proff, i will have to go through the momentum all over again. There are many many struggles that i am facing rn;
-
I am not able to get into a routine. Opening uworld blocks, even a ten questsion block makes my mind go blank. I can't stick to it
-
Earlier i started with MSK, it's anatomy sucked. I left it there. Then immuno, it felt like going nowhere too, so i left it too . Right now i am on CVS. Physio has been done upto some extent. But it also sucks. Everything is so so hard. It feels like i have never used this much brain entire my life.
Feels like mental puberty. Unlocking the brain and neuronal signals burried in dust for years.
I am in my final year, but i have been the student who passed with margin marks by mainly reading the past papers just. So i have no foundation basically at all
I am like someone studying all this for the first time (while being familiar with some things) and that too for usmle directed studying -thats what i tell my chat gpt.
- I have made a new schedule again. It goes till the end of September. Then in oct, and November as dedicated period.
And finally a test date in December.
But I'm not satisfied with the schedule.
Will i be able to do it as scheduled? What if there are buffer days ij there or burnout days.
-
How many hours to sit and study
-
What schedule and sequence of system to follow
-
How to have the best preparation till these 3-4 months so the dedicated period is just consolidation.
-
I am looking for the best practical schedule that includes buffer days too, integrating all of that uworld, FA, lectures etc.
I have asked around many seniors, and juniors regarding guidelines..but i feel i have no direction. I feel i am too dumb for it. I am longing for completing at least one system. I have asked some questions, some are still in mind.
Could anyone have any best advices to share?
