A detail in Goodfellas that I’ve never seen anyone else notice

During the scene when Henry is confronted by Paulie and Jimmy about his infidelity with Karen (https://youtu.be/dtIVf-BjICs?si=uS-Q8ChZBZRvEWuE), Henry begins with a Star of David on his neck which somehow switches to a crucifix halfway through. That Star of David was previously emphasized when he was pretending to be Jewish meeting Karen’s mother. I really doubt this was an accident, so I think it’s gotta represent how the romantic honeymoon persona Henry put on for Karen was eventually supplanted by his real self.
