Is a monitor upgrade worth it?

Question

My current monitor:

Acer ED323QUR (31.5" curved VA, 1440p, 144Hz, ~250 nits, 1800R curve). This is the original monitor I purchased when I built my PC back in 2020.

I've upgraded (more ram, 5800x3d) over the years and recently a friend sold me his 5080 at a price too good to refuse.

I don't have a lot of interest in playing in 4k (mostly because I prefer higher frames rather than maxed out graphics settings)... but with a 5080 now I was considering upgrading my monitor.

Even if I stay at 1440p I'm curious how much of a difference I would notice with a newer monitor; specifically an OLED?

I really like the size of mine and don't want to go down to a 27"; but it appears almost all the options for larger than 27" are 4k.

This is what was recommended to me, but $800 seems HIGH.

Questions:

Will I notice a significant enough different between my old VA panel Acer and a newer OLED?

Would you recommend if I stay on 1440p to drop down to 27"? I really think I'll miss the 32" curved...

Are cheaper NON OLED options worth considering or would I not notice enough of an improvement?

Thanks for the help!
