What if Someday

Love scares me because

it teaches you how to imagine

How to wonder about things

that were never promised

never fully real

So I ask myself,

What if someday people who once loved each other walk Past each other

Like strangers not knowing that they used to talk everyday

What if someday they see each other's faces

And it feels like a memory

they can't quite remember, but know is there

Like a blurry dream they once had

but forgot about it

And what if someday they see each other

Knowing that they used to talk everyday

And pretend they're fine

Like nothing has ever happened

Even though they both know it did

I don't know maybe things change

maybe people change

But they always will Wonder

if someday seeing each other ever again will still make their heart

do that stupid little thing

It used to do

But at the end they will always be

Just two different people

With two different stories.
